Wood County closing snowmobile trails

WOOD COUNTY, Wis. (WAOW) — The Wood County Parks and Forestry Departments is closing snowmobile trails due to "deteriorating conditions."

The department says they hope this is a temporary closure and that they will re-evaluate conditions on Thursday for the weekend.

They say Sunset Drifters trails closed at 8 am.

Auburndale, Rudolph, Bakerville, Kellner Knights, Vesper and Yellow River are closing at noon.

Marathon County trails also closed today due to warm weather.
