UPDATE: Two COVID-19 cases affect five Wausau schools

UPDATE: The Wausau School District says there were two positive COVID-19 cases that affected the five schools listed in a press released on Monday.

Those schools are Wausau West High School, Horace Mann Middle School, John Muir Middle School, Stettin Elementary, and Grant Elementary.

The district says they do not need to close any of the schools because of safety protocols in place, including wearing masks at all times and maintaining six feet of distance.


WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW)-- Parents and staff members were notified by the Wausau School District about a COVID-19 case at five district schools.

Those schools are Wausau West High School, Horace Mann Middle School, John Muir Middle School, Stettin Elementary, and Grant Elementary.

The district says they're working with the Marathon County Health Department and following their guidance.
