After a somewhat cool week, the feel of summer returned Friday as breezy south winds brought slightly warmer and more humid air to the area. Highs ranged from the upper 70s to low 80s.
Warm and humid conditions will linger this weekend into Monday, with showers and storms at times as waves of low pressure track through the region.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across north-central Wisconsin overnight into Saturday morning. Gusty winds and moderate to heavy rainfall will be possible.
A few showers and storms may linger in the area during the afternoon and evening, with just a slight chance of a shower or storm overnight into Sunday morning.
Scattered thunderstorms will be possible again Sunday afternoon and evening, with more activity likely later Sunday evening or overnight into Monday morning as a cold front approaches. The passage of the front will bring somewhat cooler and less humid weather for a few days, with heat and humidity and the chance of thunderstorms returning later in the week.
Have a super Saturday! Meteorologist Mike Breunling
