Irma (WAOW) -- Police were called to Lincoln Hills School in Irma Saturday after some of the youth broke windows to get out of their housing units, according to the Department of Corrections.
The DOC says they never left the yard, however, they did cause damage and broke windows at the facility.
At least one of the youth had to be treated for cuts from broken glass. The DOC says it isn't clear what prompted the incident.
Lincoln Hills has been under scrutiny for several years after allegations of mistreatment by the staff. The court appointed monitoring of the schools by the DOC.
