27 Independence Day firework shows in Wisconsin


Wisconsin (WAOW) -- During the COVID-19 pandemic, many events have been canceled or postponed, including July 4th celebrations and fireworks.

Despite widespread cancellations, there are a handful of July 4th fireworks displays that North central Wisconsinites can look forward to:

  • Antigo: Antigo High School on July 4, at 9:20.
  • Appleton: Wisconsin International Raceway on July 4 at 9:45 pm.
  • Amherst: Amherst Fairgrounds on July 4 at dusk.
  • Athens: South of Athenian living on July 3 at dusk.
  • Bancroft: Vista Royalle Campground on July 3 at dusk.
  • Boulder Junction: Boulder Junction Airport on July 4 at 10 pm.
  • Elcho: Over Otter Lake on July 4 at dusk.
  • Fenwood: Fenwood Ball Park on July 4.
  • Jump River: On July 4 at 10 pm.
  • Marshfield: Marshfield Fairgrounds Park on July 4 at 10 pm.
  • Medford: City Park on July 3 at dusk.
  • Mercer: Fireworks on July 4 at dusk.
  • Minocqua: Fireworks over Lake Minoqua on July 4.
  • Mosinee: Tiki Beach Bar & Grill has music and fireworks on July 4.
  • Mercer: Fireworks at dusk on July 4.
  • Phillips: Over Lake Puroy at 9 pm.
  • Post Lake: Sunset View Resort on July 3 at dusk
  • Rhinelander: Hodag Park on July 4 at 9:30 pm.
  • Rib Lake: Fireworks at dusk on July 3.
  • Rosholt: Portage Co. Fair Grounds on July 4.
  • Rudolph: The Bradach Company is hosting fireworks at Rudolph Community Park on July 3.
  • Shawano: Shawano Airport at 9 pm on July 3.
  • State Park Speedway in Wausau: Fireworks are held on July 2 after races that begin at 7 pm.
  • Stevens Point: Bullheads Bar & Grill on July 3.
  • Tomahawk Speedway: Fireworks after races on July 4
  • Wautoma: Waushara Co. Fairground on July 4 at 10 pm.
  • Wisconsin Dells: Wisconsin Dells Municipal Pool on July 4 at dusk. Many of the individual resorts will also have displays.
