WESTON, Wis. (WAOW) -- The Weston Aquatic Center was supposed to reopen Monday. Instead, it will open Tuesday.
That's due to the rainy weather that passed through central Wisconsin Monday.
Starting Tuesday, the pool will be open to the community in time blocks.
Those interested have to visit the Village of Weston website to reserve a time slot.
Pool staff have blocked off large slides and playground equipment. They will continue to evaluate whether or not those areas will become accessible as the summer progresses.
Staff also spaced facility chairs six feet apart. There are spots on the surrounding grass for families to sit at as well.
Woodson YMCA Director of Aquatics Abby Tesch said they are excited to have families back.
"The Woodson YMCA is excited that this will be our first year partnering with the Weston Aquatic Center to run a safe facility," said Tesch. "I'm excited to give children and families the opportunity to be in safe waters that are guarded and just get the opportunity to get outside and burn off some of their energy."
She and lifeguards expect visitors to maintain social distancing.
Locker rooms will only be available for going to the bathroom.
Because of that, guests are expected to arrive in their swim attire.
