WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) -- The Wausau School District Board of Education voted to move forward with Project Relaunch on Monday, but refrained from making a final decision on reopening.
Instead, Project Relaunch highlights three tentative plans. Each one is determined by the potential spread of COVID-19.
The District surveyed students' families on their thoughts about the different strategies. Of the 2,275 respondents, 12.1 percent said the virtual learning model would work best for their families, 20 percent said the A/B schedule would work best, and 65.7 percent said a daily face-to-face plan would work best for them.
On Monday, the board voted to move forward with all three plans. Some criticized that prolonging this decision would divest parents of time to prepare. Board members requested more information about each plan before they make a final vote. You can read the presentation below.
