NY Company offers virtual visits with animals to ease stress
BANGALL, New York (WAOW) - For Wisconsinites, cows are a pretty common sight. But have you ever tried to Facetime one?
What about a goat, or snakes or rabbits?
A company out of New York, The Animal Farm Foundation, has started a program they call 'Pets Together.'
It's designed to help people ease quarantine-fueled anxiety by offering virtual visits nationwide with some furry friends.
"We designed, built and launched the program in about a week," explained Executive Director Stacey Coleman. "I think we've been doing calls for about a month now. It has been a whirlwind of excitement and success."
The Foundation mostly serves senior or assisted-living centers, but will also "visit' with health-care workers and other essential employees to help with stress.
