Despite foggy conditions, police lights lined the scene off County Hwy. P Tuesday morning.

UPDATE (4/07 3:45pm) - The Marshfield Police Department has released more information about the car chase of a suspect involved in a Cleveland stabbing earlier Tuesday.

A post on the Department's Facebook page says a suspect - identified in a separate Marshfield police report as Brandon D. Noll - was involved in a crash at around 9:11AM at County Hwy. A and County Hwy. H in Marshfield.

Noll allegedly struck a vehicle and crashed, only to flee the scene and subsequently steal a vehicle from the parking lot of Quality Roofing.

The stolen vehicle was located in Spencer, which lead to a police chase. The chase ended near Veterans Parkway after police used tire spikes to puncture the vehicle's tires.

TOWN OF CLEVELAND, Wis. (WAOW) - The Marathon County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the scene of a fatal stabbing outside of Stratford.

The call came in around 9AM of two people stabbed in a home off County Highway P. Marathon County Sheriff's Captain Greg Bean confirmed that one person had died, and the second was injured.

The suspect was caught after a police chase that ended in Marshfield around an hour later.

"I want to let everybody know that the public is not in danger. Unfortunately, we do have a death form this incident and a second victim that's in the hospital, hopefully recovering from his injuries," he said to WAOW reporter Tom Lally.

The State Medical Examiner and Crime Lab are on the scene as well.

Captain Bean said they do not believe the stabbing to be a random incident - and that the suspect and the victims knew each other.
