WESTON, Wis. (WAOW) -- Parents that have children currently enrolled in the D.C. Everest Area School District are weighing in on the upskirting allegations against D.C. Everest teacher Travis Greil.
Officials say they found 138 images stored on one device.
Parents of students in the district were notified on Thursday via e-mail about allegations regarding "a staff member." Some parents said they feel their sense of trust has been broken as parents rely on teachers and school districts to protect their children.
"As a parent it sends up some bells and whistles," parent Sandie Shorey said. "You knew there was more to the story. It makes me feel sad for those parents that are going to discover that their girls are on those pictures. That's traumatic."
The allegations stem back over the course of five years.
"Honestly I'm blown away how long he got away with it," parent Kaitlyn Wishart said. "I give my kid to the school district to take good care of and unbeknownst to us there's this kind of stuff going on."
Wishart said she feels her and other parent's sense of security has been lost.
"I mean it's just sick," Wishart said. "All parents need to feel that their children are safe and that the teachers want their best, not to take something from them and make them victims of some sort of sick sex crime."
