UPDATE: D.C. Everest staff member identified, set to appear in court Friday

UPDATE 2/14: The D.C. Everest staff member taken into custody Thursday on accusations of invasion of privacy has been identified, per court records.

According to court records, Travis Greil, 39, will make his initial appearance in Marathon County Court Friday afternoon.

Greil was listed as a 10th, 11th and 12th grade Social Studies teacher on DC Everest High's staff directory as recently as Friday morning.


Marathon Co. (WAOW) -- A D.C. Everest Senior High staff member is in custody after accusations of invasion of privacy, that's according to a release sent to parents.

According to the release, the school district became aware of the accusations Wednesday evening and immediately placed the individual on leave.

The release says that the person is in custody.

The district also told parents in a release that safety of students is their first priority. Counselors are available at all of the schools.

News 9 has reached out to the school district and to the police department. No other details have been released.
