ROTHSCHILD Wis. (WAOW) -- The Wisconsin Farmers Union met for their annual convention on Friday. The convention runs through the weekend and provides farmers with the opportunity to network, attend workshops and help influence policy.
2019 was a particularly rough year for many Wisconsin farmers, but many still hold on to hope for the future.
"There's always this eternal optimism that the seeds will grow and everything will turn out well," said Rick Adamski a farmer in Shawano County.
Going in to 2020, the union is focused on water, dairy policy and pushing away from the monopolization of agriculture.
