WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) -- The Woodson Art Museum in Wausau will soon have a snow sculpture out front.
Team USA Snow Sculptors have been sculpting pieces from the museum for the past 30 years. Each year the sculpture is different and this year they're focus is origami so they're recreating an origami-inspired squirrel.
"Originally from folded paper and then that sculpture then was transferred into metal sculpture and it's all origami-inspired because there are three origami exhibitions on view inside the Woodson Art Museum through March 1st," said Amy Beck, Marketing/Communications Manager for the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
She says also says, Team USA should be finished by Sunday. The best time to see the sculpture is at night. And the sculpture will stay up for as long as the weather permits.
