Liz Szewczyk

Liz Szewczyk (pronounced seff-check, it's a doozy - we know!) joined the StormTrack 9 team in early 2020.

Liz was born in the Chicagoland area, but was raised in Northwest Indiana.

Being from the Midwest, she's no stranger to all four seasons. Liz graduated in December 2019 from Ball State University in Central Indiana with a Bachelors of Science degree in Meteorology and Climatology.

While at Ball State she worked for a TV station in Pikeville, Kentucky and a local PBS station - WIPB. Off-screen, Liz has followed up on her love of weather by storm chasing across the country. She has seen 10 tornadoes and hopes to chase more.

Liz loves teaching kids and has spent her summers in college teaching meteorology lessons to elementary schoolers in the Chicagoland area. When she isn't at work you can find Liz exploring the outdoors or hanging out with friends.

She is excited to explore her new home here in Central Wisconsin!
