WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) -- Many people stop by foodbanks like The Neighbors' Place to give food donations and monetary donations, but even more, stop by to receive.
Experts say one in seven people in the united states use food banks to feed their families. As the largest food pantry in Marathon County, The Neighbors' Place, helps over 400 families a week. The food bank even serving a single-day record number of families - 150.
Their goal is to increase food security in our community..
"We like to provide that extra assistance so that they have food for the day to day and those special occasions as well," said Donna Ambrose, Executive Director for The Neighbors' Place.
Donna says while food donations are greatly appreciated, monetary donations go even further.
