MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WAOW) -- At just 10 years old, Glen Trzebiatowski of Plover lost his hand in a farming accident.
"Being on the farm they didn't feel sorry for ya because there were chores to be done," said Trzebiatowski.
And as any farmer would do, once he healed, he went right back to the farm. For Glen, life went on. He said, "I adapted and basically there wasn't anything I couldn't do."
However about 3 months ago, his life changed. A cough forcing him to go to the doctor's office. Trzebiatowski said, "after a while, she (the nurse) says you've got to meet my husband.. he does prosthetics and she literally had me in tears."
In a matter of a week including a visit to Ohio, a team of professionals created a personalized prosthetic hand for Glen.
"I've got 48 Christmases in one because it was something I've never dreamed of and all of the sudden in three months time it was here," said Trzebiatowski.
Now thanks to Next Step Prosthetics in Marshfield, his life is changed forever.
