Three people including the shooter are dead after an attack at Pearl Harbor

HONOLULU (AP) -- The military says a U.S. sailor shot killed two and wounded civilian Department of Defense employees at the Pearl Harbor shipyard before taking his own life. The military didn't release a motive or any identifying information about the sailor who opened fire Wednesday at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. A third victim is at a hospital. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam has reopened following a lockdown.

Queen's Medical Center said Wednesday that it's treating one patient but didn't give details on their condition. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam tweeted that the gates are open and the base can be accessed again following a lockdown.

HONOLULU (AP) -- The U.S. military says security forces are responding to reports of a shooting at a naval shipyard at Pearl Harbor. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam tweeted that there's an ongoing security incident at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard that began around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Honolulu Fire Departmentásays firefighters are responding to the base. It's not clear if there are injuries. The gates to the base are closed, and at least some parts of Pearl Harbor are locked down.
