RIB MOUNTAIN, Wis (WAOW)– Habitat for Humanity dedicated a home Tuesday evening in Rib Mountain.
Students from D.C. Everest High School along with volunteers and a partner family all helped with the construction process.
The build of the home took a full school year, the house was set on its foundation in May.
“Coming here when I was younger as a little kid…going to school, always that American dream growing old, get a house, buy a house, retire in the home looking out on the sunset and that’s a part of it right now,” said the homeowner Hue Yang
This home is the 68th Habitat for Humanity has built in the Wausau area. A different home in Rib Mountain was dedicated on Monday that Mosinee High School Students helped build.
It’s important to note that the homes aren’t just given to people, they have to go through an application process.
