WAUSAU (WAOW)– Northcentral Technical College (NTC) has signed a transfer partnership agreement with Purdue University.
The agreement is with Purdue University Global, and allows NTC students to transfer their credits to Purdue University to earn a four-year degree.
There are 12 program to program transfer options available that include business administration, criminal justice, and nursing. There is hope to add more programs in the future.
“All the credits taken at NTC will transfer in and then in addition, they will take any additional course up to 75 percent towards a bachelors so you only have 25 percent left of other courses they might have taken at NTC or want to here and don’t want to do it online. They can actually get approval to take additional courses here plus work experience,” said Dr. Lori Weyers, President of NTC.
For Purdue University, the chance to partner with NTC, was one they couldn’t pass up.
“What we’re trying to do here is create a partnership that truly enables that student to go step by step towards the degree and the career path and the job that they want,” said Dr. Keith Smith, Vice President and Dean of Purdue University Global.
The partnership goes into effect immediately and even prior graduates of NTC can enroll in the program.
