Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a 30% of light snow far southeast of Wausau. Partly cloudy far north.

Low: 22 Wind: NNW 5-10

Thursday: Patchy light snow far SE of Wausau early in the day. Hazy sunshine developing in the afternoon.

High: 36 Wind: North to NW 10-15

Chilly weather sticks around with a few chances for light snow showers.

After some filtered morning sunshine, clouds thickened up during the afternoon as a low pressure system developed to our south. This system will remain to our south as it moves by, keeping the accumulating Halloween snow in southeast Wisconsin. Some light snow may reach Waupaca, Wautoma, and the Dells tonight into early Thursday morning, but no more than a dusting or so is expected. The rest of the area will be dry with filtered sunshine developing in the afternoon as the system pulls away. Highs will only be in the mid 30s tomorrow, and with winds around 10-15 mph late afternoon and early evening, wind chills will be in the mid 20s for those trick or treaters.

Skies clear out for much of Thursday night, but a few high clouds will start moving in by daybreak Friday. Temps will be cold in the mid to upper teens Friday morning and rise into the upper 30s in the afternoon. A few snow showers will be possible later in the day Friday. Winds will turn breezy to start the weekend with lake effect snow showers in the far north on Saturday. Temps will remain cold with highs in the mid 30s.

Most of Sunday looks dry at this point, but skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s to around 40. A low pressure system looks to bring light snow to the area sometime Sunday night through Monday night, with the cold air being reinforced for the middle of next week. Temperatures may struggle to get above freezing next Wednesday after reaching to around 40 degrees on Monday.
