Clearing out and turning cold tonight

Tonight: Becoming clear and cold.

Low: 25 Wind: Light West

Friday: Mostly sunny and chilly.

High: 46 Wind: SW 5-10

More sunshine and warmer temps on the way to end the week.

After the clouds lingered for much of the day today, skies will clear out tonight as high pressure settles into the area. With clear skies and light winds, temperatures will fall into the low to mid 20 around the area. Plenty of sunshine is expected on Friday and winds turning to the southwest will help temperatures rise into the mid 40s. Warmer weather is expected on Saturday as temps climb into the low to mid 50s, but the sunshine may become filtered late in the day southeast of Wausau as a low pressure system moves into lower Michigan.

More clouds will move into the area on Sunday, but besides a small chance of a sprinkle, dry conditions are expected. Temps will be a little cooler, topping out in the upper 40s. Temperatures will be around 10 degrees colder on Monday with a mix of sun and clouds.

A low pressure system will be tracking through the Great Lakes region on Tuesday, but it’s very uncertain at this time where it will exactly track. Regardless, it’ll make skies mostly cloudy and winds breezy and create a chance for both scattered rain and snow showers. Highs will only make it into the mid to upper 30s. Some lingering flurries will be possible on Wednesday otherwise it’ll be partly sunny and cold with highs in the mid 30s. More rain/snow showers are possible on Halloween and it’ll be cold with highs in the mid 30s.
