Clouds linger on Thursday, but more sun develops to end the week.

A weak low pressure system passing us by to the south will be close enough to bring some light showers/drizzle into the far southern part of the area this evening, moving out overnight. Winds will turn to the northwest, which will create very isolated lake effect rain/snow showers in Vilas county. No accumulation is expected, but with temps around the freezing mark it could create some slippery spots early Thursday morning. We’ll see a few peeks of sun on Thursday, otherwise it’ll be mostly cloudy and chilly with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Skies will clear out Thursday night, which will allow temps to plummet into the low to mid 20s around the area. Depending on how quickly the clouds move out, there could even been some spots that fall into the upper teens! Mostly sunny skies are expected Friday, but it won’t be very warm with highs only in the mid 40s. A few more clouds will move into the area on Saturday, but still expect a good deal of sunshine and warmer temps with highs in the low 50s. Temps will slip back into the mid to upper 40s on Sunday with partly sunny skies, but right now dry weather looks to continue through Monday. Highs Monday will be cooler, only topping out around 40 degrees.

An area of low pressure will impact the area Monday night through Wednesday, but the track of the system is still very uncertain. Expect breezy and cloudy conditions on Tuesday with highs only in the mid 30s and a few scattered rain and snow showers. These rain/snow showers could linger around the area on Wednesday, keeping highs in the mid 30s.
