Packers sign receiver to add depth at position

The Green Bay Packers have signed another receiver to the roster to help add depth at a thin position.

In a press release issued by the team Wednesday, they announced the signing of wide receiver Ryan Grant. The 6-foot 194-pound receiver out of Tulane was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.

In his career, Grant has appeared in 80 games registering 123 receptions for 1,33 yards and seven touchdowns.

Along with the signing of Grant, the Packers also announced several other roster moves.

Offensively, they have released running back Tra Carson and tightend Ethan Wolf, while signing running back Damarea Crockett to the practice squad.

Joining Crockett on the practice squad will be cornerback Tremon Smith, who was also signed by the Packers Wednesday.
