Wisconsin Rapids PD #GitUp in preparation for Trunk or Treat

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WAOW) – Leave it to the police to have a bit of fun with Halloween.

In a post on their Facebook page, the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department ‘volunteered’ to advertise their Trunk or Treat 2019 from 4:30pm-6:30pm on Halloween night at City Hall.

How? By dancing.

Watch our officers dance away! Hope you’re ready for our Trunk or Treat 2019! Our Officers volunteered their time to advertise for our next event ? ? Wood County Sheriff's Department you’re up! #gitup***We do not own the rights to this awesome music***Thank you WR Lincoln High School for letting us make fools of ourself in your school ? & a special thanks to Kelly Bluell for teaching us how to dance ?

The (in)famous #GitUp Challenge dares users to dance to “The Git Up,” by Blanco Brown. WRPD did one better and did the dance in costumes, as well as calling out the Wood County Sheriff’s Department to continue the dancing trend.

Note: WAOW does not own the rights to “The Git Up.”
