October marks Down Syndrome Awareness Month and to coincide with it, GiGi’s Playhouse in Wausau is kicking off its ‘Believe in Our Build’ campaign to help bring an achievement center to central Wisconsin.
GiGi’s Playhouse is a down syndrome achievement center offering therapeutic, educational and career development to those impacted by Down syndrome. It has locations across the United States and Mexico and a new fundraising campaign is working to bring a new, sustainable location to Wausau!
The mission of GiGi’s Playhouse is to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.
The playhouse would provide a consistent delivery of free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.
The ‘Believe in Our Build’ Campaign recently kicked off and the first donor was Connexus Cares, donating $11,000 to the future home of GiGi’s Playhouse in Wausau.
