Grand Marsh man sentenced in cocaine conspiracy

MADISON, Wisconsin (WAOW) – An Adams County man has been sentenced to 44 months in federal prison for cocaine conspiracy.

The US Department of Justice reports Lonell Johnson, 27, of Grand Marsh, was sentenced after pleading guilty to the charge earlier this year.

Johnson and 11 others were charged and arrested after a DOJ sting between Madison, WI and Houston, TX.

Johnson is believed to have been shipping packages of cocaine, as well as cooking some of the cocaine into crack and selling it.

Johnson has a long history of previous violations, including gun crimes and violence against women.

All 12 defendants in the case have entered guilty pleas.
