Low: 50 Wind: W 10-20 early diminishing to 5-10 late
Cool and cloudy today, but warming trend expected through the weekend into next week.
A cold front will be pushing through the area early this morning, and that will bring us a brief period of sunshine, but behind the front skies will turn mostly cloudy once again with a few scattered, very light showers developing for the afternoon, especially in the Northwoods. Winds will be blustery once again today, gusting between 25-35 mph. Temperatures will be steady most of the day in the upper 50s to low 60s. Skies will turn partly cloudy tonight, but winds won’t die down until late. Lows will drop into the low 50s.
Sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected Saturday morning, but clouds will increase through the afternoon ahead of a weak disturbance that will generate scattered showers and storms Saturday evening and night. Temps will be warmer with highs around 70. Warmer weather will continue to move in on Sunday with highs in the mid 70s, but we’ll start the day mostly cloudy. More sun will mix with the clouds in the afternoon, but we can’t rule out a few pop up showers and storms in the Northwoods during that time. It’ll be more humid as well.
The humid conditions will last for a majority of next week, and temperatures will feel like summer once again with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. After some morning fog, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Partly cloudy skies are expected again on Tuesday, but more clouds will mix with the sun on Wednesday. There’s a chance for isolated showers and storms late in the day Wednesday into Thursday.
