Grand Theater hosts ‘Insta-Choir’ for community members

WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — Whether you like to sing at Karaoke –whether in the shower or just in the car — now’s your time to shine.

Officials say the new “Insta-Choir,” hosted at the Grand Theater in Wausau, is a fun, easy way for community members to share their love of music and singing.

It is open to everyone, no matter the skill level.

“Sometimes people love music but it’s really hard to incorporate it into their everyday lives,” said Katy Lang, director of education and community engagement at the Wausau Grand Theater. “We really hope that people are able to just come, sing with their friends and neighbors, make some friends, and then be out in 45 mins to an hour with no commitment.”

Lang says the time is meant to be spontaneous.

To get in on the fun, you must first sign up on the Grand Theater website with your phone number; the Theater will then send a text message to you 1-2 dyas before a choir meeting is held.
