Police: Wausau teen shot was intending to sell drugs

Wausau (WAOW) — Wausau police say a 16-year-old shot was intending to sell drugs when the shooting happened.

According to police, the 16-year-old’s mom was driving him to sell the drugs to 20-year-old Kaiden Bemowski.

Police say Bemowski and a 14-year-old girl were going to rob the 16-year-old. Officials say the 14-year-old grabbed the marijuana and the 16-year-old chased after her. Police say that’s when Kaiden Bemowski shot the 16-year-old.

Police say the 16-year-old’s mom was arrested.

Bemowski was supposed to appear in court Thursday however he is now scheduled to appear in court Friday, Sept. 13.

Police say the bullet grazed 16-year-old’s head and his injuries were non-life threatening.
