Oneida Co. man accused in fatal hit-and-run charged, out on bond

Oneida Co. (WAOW) — The man suspected in a fatal hit-and-run in Oneida Co. was charged Friday.

Police say 53-year-old Jeffrey Liebscher admitted to hitting the motorcycle rider and taking off.

23-year-old Sean Holtslander of St. Germain was found dead around 10:23 p.m. Wednesday in Sugar Camp.

Court documents say Liebscher knew he hit him but didn’t know what to do.

In court, the judge says he is recusing himself from the case.

Liebscher is facing two felony charges. A judge ordered a $1,500 cash bond. As of Friday afternoon, it is confirmed Liebscher is out on bond.
