Wausau teacher facing drug charges gets fine

Marathon Co. (WAOW) — Renee Webb, a teacher with the Wausau School District, reached a plea deal Wednesday.

According to court records, Webb was ordered to pay a $50 fine for a misdemeanor related to possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, they were dispatched to the R-Store gas station in Rothschild for reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting there for several hours.

Police say Webb was inside the car and appeared to be under the influence. They say she had several narcotics inside the car including prescription medications that she did not have a prescription for.

In a plea deal, charges for possession of a controlled substance were dropped.

According to court records, Webb can petition to have the charges expunged from her record if she doesn’t incur any new charges.
