RHINELANDER, Wis. (WAOW) — Fun in the sun continues at another day at Hodag Country Festival.
Not too far from the main stage is a campsite lined with Christmas trees. News 9’s Neena Pacholke wanted to investigate the story behind this holiday spirit, on Saturday.
Turns out, it’s for safety measures but also embracing some spirit as well.
“Basically it’s just to kinda, we’re not trying to be rude but we have a lot of stuff in here so we’re trying to keep people from walking through our site so we decided to put up the fence of Christmas trees,” Brittany Syvrud of Baraboo
The group has been coming to Hodag for six years but the trees are a new tradition, starting this year.
Syvrud said the trees have all come from either garage sales or thrift stores.
She said the holiday trees have attracted more attention than they expected.
