A cooler than normal forecast

Today: Sunny to partly cloudy and little breezy.
High: 69 Wind: NW 10-18

Tonight: Clear for most of the night, then increasing clouds late.
Low: 48 Wind: Becoming SW around 5

Friday: Mostly cloudy and blustery with a 70% chance of showers and storms.
High: 70 Wind: SW 15-25

A good amount of sunshine will be seen today and you will want to enjoy it because more clouds are in the forecast through the weekend. Temps will remain on the cool side as well.

High pressure will keep the skies mostly clear for today. This should help warm temperatures into the middle and upper 60s for this afternoon. It will be warmer than yesterday but still well below normal for this time of year. With a northwest wind of 10 to 18 mph, it will sound and feel a little like Fall.

More clouds will move in on Friday along with a weak warm front and wave of low pressure passing to our north. This weather system will increase the chance of rain and scattered storms to 70%, with the highest chance of the wet weather being in the Northwoods. With high temps only reaching the upper 60s to low 70s, the threat of severe weather will be low. The same low pressure system will drag a weak cold front into our area Friday night into Saturday morning. This will keep the chance of wet weather going, although the scattered rain should taper off in the afternoon. High temps will only reach the upper 60s.

Enough moisture will linger in the area on Sunday that there will be more clouds than sun and even a 30% chance of additional scattered showers. It not likely be widespread or steady rain, but you might have to wait out a couple of showers if you do have outdoor plans. A small chance of showers will occur on Monday once again. On both days, high temps will be in the 65 to 70 range, so still below normal.

More sun should be around for Tuesday and Wednesday and that should help temps warm up into the 70s. If we are lucky we will have a couple days of drier weather on Tuesday and Wednesday but there is at least a slight chance of a shower or storm Tuesday and then again toward evening on Wednesday.

Have a magnificent Thursday! Meteorologist Justin Loew, 4:30 a.m. 13-June-2019
