Oneida Co. (WAOW) — The man accused of a hospital attack in the Northwoods is sentenced Wednesday.
A judge sentenced Joseph Buza to 13.5 years with eight years in prison and 5.5 years extended supervision.
Joseph Buza was convicted of holding a medical worker against her will.
Police say Joseph and Jillian Buza had a hatchet, meat tenderizer mallet and a loaded gun in the exam room June of 2018.
According to documents, when the two got to the Marshfield Clinic, Jillian told the front desk worker if she didn’t get her medicine she was going to, “go home and blow her head off.”
Jillian Buza passed away in August of 2018 from natural causes, according to sheriff’s officials.
