Thorp, Central Wisconsin’s last remaining team at the WIAA state softball tournament, lost Friday morning in the D4 semifinals to defending champs Horicon by a score of 7-3.
Gilman and Tri-County and Pacelli’s phenomenal seasons have come to an end in Madison.
Gilman and Tri-County lost in their Division 5 semifinal game, while Pacelli fell in Division 4 semifinal action Thursday.
Tri-County gave up 15 runs, including seven in the 6th, and saw their season come to a close against Belmont.
Gilman, the four seed, hung around, but couldn’t quite catch up, and they fall to the one seed, Blair-Taylor, 8-3.
Pacelli, Division 4’s third seed, couldn’t overcome a four-run first inning by undefeated, second-seeded Mishicot in a 5-1 defeat.
