MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) — The suspect accused to shooting a man at a Weston bar over the weekend has been charged with attempted homicide, according to Marathon County Court records.
Sergio Retana, 30, is also charged with recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, operating a firearm while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon.
A $500,000 bond was set on Monday.
Authorities said Retana shot another man at the Kelly Club on Ross Avenue early Sunday morning.
That man was hospitalized and an update on his condition hasn’t been released.
Police say video surveillance shows Retana, a convicted felon who had violated parole in Iowa, could be seen drawing a gun and firing multiple shots at the victim after an apparent verbal argument.
