The weekend will be warmer, with gentle winds, which should be good for the start of the fishing season. A weak trough of low pressure tracking into the state overnight could generate an isolated shower, with a lingering slight chance of a Saturday. A cold front will move through Wisconsin Sunday, producing a chance of scattered showers and isolated T-storms. Winds will be from the southwest Saturday, and the west Sunday.
The cold front is expected to stall to the south of Wisconsin next week, then drift northward and southward at times as waves of low pressure track northeastward along it. Our area will likely remain to the cool, northern side of the front. Breezy conditions are expected Tuesday through Thursday.
There will be a good chance of showers later Monday and Tuesday as a system moves along the stalled front. There is still some uncertainty in the forecast for the rest of the week as to additional shower possibilities, which will depend on the position of the front. Breezy conditions are expected Tuesday through Thursday.
Have a great weekend! Meteorologist Mike Breunling
