The sun should finally come out for today. This means warmer temperatures, which is good, but overall it looks like below normal conditions for the next week or so.

A mix of sun and clouds will develop for today. The sunny periods of weather should help push high temps into the upper 50s. Even though it is still below normal, it will feel nice outside because it will be a few degrees warmer than the previous few days and there will not be too much wind. Winds will be light and variable during the morning and then turn to the south during the afternoon.

A weak cold front moving toward our area overnight tonight could produce a brief shower or sprinkle. This front will then fizzle out over our area on Saturday. Before the front completely fades away, it might spark an isolated shower or two during the afternoon. Otherwise, Saturday is looking like the warmest day of the outlook with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s.

On Sunday a stronger cold front will move in from the north and it will produce more clouds and a 40% chance of showers. Even though the weather will not be as nice as Saturday, it will not be too bad either with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Next week will turn cooler once again. It will not be as chilly as this week but high temps could be around 10 degrees below normal on most days. High will be in the 50s. Low temps could drop into the low to mid 30s for the second half of next week. As far as precipitation chances go, a stronger low pressure system could affect our area late Monday into Tuesday. The weather could turn out rather wet , chilly and breezy on Tuesday. Drier weather should then develop from Wednesday through Friday.

Have a magnificent Friday! Meteorologist Justin Loew, 4:30 a.m. 3-May-2019
