STEVENS POINT (WAOW)– The Culver’s in Stevens Point is giving back to the farming community in the area.
Through their Scoops of Thanks Day, customers could get a scoop of custard for $1. The proceeds from each scoop will be donated to local Future Farmers of America(FFA) chapters as well as other agricultural education programs.
“All of the food we get is locally grown from the farmers around here so the purpose of getting the dollar scoop is to help the local farmers around here. All of the proceeds we earn from the dollar scoop will go to the farmers around the local area” Alyssa Edges, a manager at the Culver’s in Stevens Point said.
The goal of the program is to help insure the nation’s future food supply.
