WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — April is National Kite Flying month, and Ross Karaba held his first annual kite flying event at the Wausau Airport.
Ross Karaba said he grew up flying kites, especially during Easter weekends. Flying kites holds a special place in his heart, so he created the event as a way to share his passion with families in the community and with kids especially.
“I hope they come out and get away from their electronic devices,” Karaba said. “And see that there’s fun to do outside. Especially in beautiful weather like this.”
Karaba said he hopes to continue the event to show how something as simple as flying a kite can be an enjoyable experience.
