WAUSAU (WAOW) — Central Wisconsin had a big role in Governor Tony Evers’ first budget address.
Evers called out Representative Katrina Shankland for her work addressing water contamination across the state. But it wasn’t just lawmakers the governor highlighted.
Tony Gonzalez, a local Hispanic outreach activist, and Shannon Thielman, a Wausau nurse, appeared in a video prepared by the governor’s office.
Gonzalez addressed issues surrounding undocumented people in the state. Theilman expressed her concerns about the environment.
