Clark County (WQOW) – A horse is Clark County is healthy and has enough food around, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies executed a search warrant at a location on Highway 73 south of Greenwood in Clark County. They wanted to make sure the horse was being cared for, is healthy and has shelter.
Some people have said the horse is neglected because it is left outside. An online petition was signed by more than 200,000 people.
The sheriff’s office, along with a vet, found that the horse has food available and has water and a wind break.
News 18 spoke to the lawyer who represents the concerned citizens, Dan Jardine, who said as of Monday the horse is gone.
News 18 reached out to the sheriff’s department to see if they know where the horse went but have not heard back,
Jardine said he and his clients are waiting to hear back from the judge to see what happens next.
