CRANDON, Wis. (WAOW) — A search warrant in Forest County ended with five people taken into custody.
The search took place at approximately 12:13 a.m. Friday morning at 409 North Crandon Avenue in Crandon, according to a press release from the Forest County Sheriff’s Department.
Upon officials’ entry, Lana Rodriguez, 32, “ran into the bathroom and began dumping several bags of narcotics into the toilet along with a digital scale,” per the release.
Officials then located Alyssa Daniels, 23, Jordan Phalen, 24, Dylan Laux, 25, and Michelle Bartlein, 45, all of Crandon, in the basement of the residence. According to the release, three minors were also inside. The children were placed into protective custody by the Forest County Department of Health and Social Services, the release added.
Several gem bags containing crack cocaine were found during the search along with prescription pills, marijuana, several digital scales, packaging materials, a ledger and large amounts of both drug paraphernalia and cash, per the release.
All five parties were arrested and booked into the Forest County Jail on charges of keeping a drug house, cocaine possession with intent to deliver, both felony and misdemeanor bail jumping, possession of THC, drug paraphernalia and schedule 2 prescription pills, as well as child neglect, the release said.
