Mild pattern ahead

The weather system which brought a light snow accumulation to the region Wednesday morning is sliding away but plenty of clouds linger in its wake. Otherwise the weather pattern looks warmer than normal for the next week or so and there is a good chance of sunshine on certain days. We could also have patches of fog tonight, so travel with caution. Lows will be around 26 with light northeast winds becoming southeast later. Thursday should be mostly cloudy. Highs should be around 33. A few light snow showers are possible in the evening as weak front pushes through. Winds will be from the southeast and then become southwest around 5 mph.

The heavy clouds should gradually clear up some Friday allowing for pleasant conditions. Lows will be around 20 with highs near 35. There might be some fog early Saturday otherwise it should be another day with some sunshine and balmy readings in the upper 30s.

A cold front will slide through Sunday bringing partly sunny and breezy conditions. A few flurries are possible with highs around 33.

High pressure is projected to be in control early next week. So you can expect a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be around 30 Monday and climb to the mid 30s Tuesday and Wednesday. Lows will be a mixture of 10s and 20s. Overall it should be just great for travel and for outdoor activities, other than those that need a lot of snow on the ground of course!
