MILWAUKEE (WISN) — A 12-year-old Milwaukee boy is in the hospital after gunfire penetrated his bedroom wall early Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to an area hospital for a shooting victim around 2:30 a.m.
Investigators determined the victim lives in an apartment building near S. 24th Street and W. National Avenue, and around 1 a.m. Tuesday, a suspect fired a gun from an adjoining apartment.
The bullet went through the wall, hitting the sleeping boy. Family took him to the hospital, where officials say he’s in good condition.
Police haven’t made any arrests, and say the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
