Mosinee made an impressive comeback to beat #1 West Salem in the Division 2 Sectional Semifinals Thursday night.
A big part of their success this season has been in large part due to their libero, Allison Miller.
The senior registered her 1,000th career dig this past weekend in a win over Merrill, and set a Great Northern Conference record for serve percentage earlier this month.
Miller didn’t know she was near the 1,000 dig mark until part way through the season, but once she found out about it, she made it her goal to get there, and she pushed hard to do it.
“I’m like, wow, that would be something great to accomplish before my senior came to an end,” said Miller. “So I just made it my goal to give it my all to every single ball, because I thought that would be a great accomplishment. So it feels really great. I’ve just been pushing myself everyday to be better and better. I play club on the offseason. Volleyball is just something I’m really passionate about. so just practicing and playing my game is what I do.”
Miller and her Mosinee Indians take on top ranked Bloomer Saturday night, with a trip to the state tournament on the line.
