Pilot injured in Waupaca County plane crash

One man is suffering from severe injuries after a small plane crashed into a corn field in Waupaca County, according to a press release.

The pilot, Andrei Biesinger,47 of Oshkosh was the only person in the aircraft.

He was transported to Waupaca Airport and then airlifted to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

According to the press release the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 11:20 p.m. Friday night from a resident on Harrington Road east of State Highway 22-54 in the Town of Waupaca about a possible plane crash near his house.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Waupaca Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Waupaca Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance Service.

The press release also states that the crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration. 

The aircraft involved was a small twin propeller six passenger plane.
