Our next countdown to kickoff segment finds us in Marshfield to check out the Tigers.
Last year’s VFA-South co-champions have high expectations for this year, especially because they return 32 seniors from last year.
Two of those returning seniors are starting quarterback Ryan Krueger and starting running back Brant Bohman.
Have those two skill positions back is a rarity, and the Tigers are looking to take advantage of it.
"The advantage is experience and really they have three years, Ryan has been a three year starter for us, started back when he was a sophomore due to an injury to the kid that was playing. And Brant has been a special athlete his whole life and can do some special things," said head coach Denny Goettl.
"Even if our running game isn’t working with Brant or the other running backs, I also run a lot and so even if that’s not working Brant also goes out to slot receiver and we have a bunch of other really talented, tall receivers this year," senior quarterback Ryan Krueger said.
